RB Series - 10-75W CW Module

The RB Series Laser Module delivers the reliability and performance of diode pumping to medium power industrial and scientific laser systems, virtually eliminating the downtime experienced by older lamp-based laser technologies. Drive your laser system to power levels to 75 watts.

Use this module as an ideal building block in the development or production of medium power rod laser systems, conversion of existing lamp-based laser designs to diode-pumping, or to retrofit existing arc lamp hardware to provide more stable and reliable operation.

The module is completely maintenance-free. It incorporates an Nd:YAG or Nd:YLF laser rod that is efficiently pumped by a radial array of long lifetime laser diode bars, and delivers excellent gain uniformity and lensing performance. It is suited for medium power multi-mode applications such as laser marking, and can provide high stability and beam quality for more precise micro-machining and scientific applications.

The RB Series is driven by low voltage electronics that simplifies integration, certification, and dealing with EMI/EMC. Cooling of the laser is accomplished with a simple re-circulating water chiller running on filtered water, eliminating the need for troublesome de-ionized water systems and central coolant systems. CEO provides a variety of standard and OEM auxiliary equipment suites for use with the module, or we can assist you with the adaptation of your existing system to drive the unit.

The Rocks - High PRF Diode Pumphead Modules

Rocks module was designed as a building block engine for the development or production of high PRF pulsed pumped laser. It is completely maintenance free and is about half the size of a standard arc lamp pump chamber. It employs a bilateral array of close coupled diode laser arrays for efficient direct side pumping of the solid state host material.

The Rocks pumpheads are pulse-pumped. A rod is flattened on each side to allow pumping with 2-D arrays from two sides of the rod. The rod is not exposed to water coolant, so the pointing stability is not influenced by turbulence. The rod is held in place by two mechanical standoffs and the heat is transmitted through to a back plane. Liquid coolant removes the waste heat. The rod can be coated on one end with a mirror to define one end of the cavity. By placing the other mirror at various distances from that, the pulsewidth can be lengthened or shortened accordingly. Nominal pulsewidths are 10 nsec EO Q-Switched, 100-400 msec free running and 2.5 nsec passively Q-Switched.
