| Mask-Based Infrared Imager WLF-01 |
|
 |
WLF-01 was developed to cater to the requirement of the need to have visibility through smoky conditions. This unique facemask mounted device is the smallest, lightest and cheapest IR imager in the world. |
WLF-01 has large field of view of 50 degrees which can see through heavy smoke and total darkness to locate the victim quickly. With vital real time information via the wireless video and audio communication, the command center can see and talk to the users in real time in order to make critical decision. This in terms enhance the overall effectiveness in the operational decision making process in any operation. |
The images from the cameras are relayed to television monitors in a mobile command center outside the building/chamber. The black-and-white infrared images display warm things which appear white, and cooler things appear as black. |
The body heat of the users appear white from head to toe (in white hot mode) with fine details of users. Doors and door knobs were easily visible. |
WLF-01 is an affordable camera that would see through smoke. This is a major advantage, on top of being connected with essential oxygen mask or gas canisters as required. The device can also help to protect the lives of the users by allowing them to see holes in floors, collapsed stairways and other hazardous objects obscured by smoke. |
