Biography
– Dr. Ting Mei
Dr. Ting Mei received his
B.S. and M.S degrees in Optical Engineering from Zhejiang
University, China, in 1988 and 1991, respectively, and Ph.D.
degree in Electrical Engineering from National University of
Singapore, Singapore in 2000. He was an Assistant Research
Professor in Optical Engineering Department, Zhejiang
University in 1991-1995, and worked as a Research Engineer
in the Institute of Microelectronics, Singapore in
1997-2000. He joined the School of Electrical and Electronic
Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in
2000, and is currently an Associate Professor. His lecture
courses include Optical-Electronic Devices (Postgraduate),
Optical Design (undergraduate), IC Yield and Reliability,
etc. and also tutors subjects of Analog Electronics,
Integrated Electronics, etc.
Dr. Mei’s research has
been in the area of semiconductor optoelectronics and novel
optoelectronic devices, semiconductor microfabrication, and
infrared imaging technologies including QWIP, QDIP and
microbolometer. His current research interest focuses on
photonic integrated circuits, band gap engineering
technology, low dimensional devices, and nanoscale
semiconductor materials. He has published more than 100
papers in refereed international journals and conference. He
is a senior member of IEEE/IEEE-LEOS and was vice chairman
of IEEE-LEOS Chapter, Singapore Section for 2004 and 2005.
Biography
– Dr. Chen MingSong
Chen MingSong received
B.Eng in Optoelectronics and M.Eng in Optical
Instrumentation from TianJin University in 1989 and 1992,
respectively, and the PhD degree in Physics from the
National University of Singapore in 2001. In 1992 – 1997 he
was a lecturer in the University of Science and Technology
of China, involved in teaching and research in laser, optics
and physics. In 2000 he joined the Innovation Department of
Philips Optical Storage Singapore, and has been
optoelectronic engineer / senior / chief optical engineer to
design and develop optical pickup unit. In 2005 he joined
R&D department of a US MNC as principal optical engineer to
design and develop illumination product. |
